Athletes travel to Cruden Farm

Yarra Ranges Athletics competed at the Little Athletics Victoria Cross Country Championships on Saturday 22 July.
Set at the spectacular Cruden Farm in Langwarrin, the club’s athletes excelled in the cold, windy conditions.
All athletes competed with traditional hard-but-fair attitude, with every athlete giving 100 per cent.
Performances were also boosted by the sensational support provided by all our supporters.
Medal-winning performances came from Kiara Flavel, Maddie Laven, Indigo Linde and Georgia Laven.
Georgia gets a special mention for winning her seventh consecutive LAVIC State Cross Country Championship title.
Results: Girls Under 9 1500m Charlotte Comport 18th 6.44, Stephanie Van Bemmel 26th 6.55 , Kaylah Cannon 27th 6.56 (Team 4th); Girls Under 10 1500m Tiara Willis 25th 6.40; Girls Under 11 2000m Kiara Flavel 1st 7.25; Girls Under 12 2000m Maddie Laven 1st 7.21, Indigo Linde 2nd 7.28; Girls Under 13 3000m Mia Strudley 16th 12.44, Girls Under 14 3000m Georgia Laven 1st 10.59; Boys Under 10 1500m Jake Angus 26th 6.05, Tyson Flavel 67th 7.28; Boys Under 11 2000m Ky Harris 35th 8.22; Boys Under 12 2000m Mitchell Deckert 11th 7.33, Zac Clarke 20th 7.49 , Alex Van Duuren 50th 8.57 (Team 7th); Boys Under 14 3000m Camden Hewitson 13th 11.41, Taj Linde 17th 12.05.
Next week, the club is running at Durham Road, Croydon, while the senior team will be competing in Ballarat.
The club welcomes all athletes of any age or ability.
