It’s time again to learn how to stay healthy while helping your community.
The Healthy Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday 9 September, from 10am to 2pm, at the Sarah Court Preschool in Montrose.
This time around, a recipe book has been created, with recipes donated from kinder families.
An incredible 100 per cent of proceeds will be going to the Lilydale-based Holy Fools charity, which assists local people in need
So come along and buy a copy of cook book at the festival to help raise as much funds as possible for Holy Fools.
Come and help celebrate the community event, with loads of family fun activities available, including face-painting, jumping castle, and live music from Lilly Pilly Green and local talent Spark.
Also available are circus performances, drumming workshops, local sporting group activities, a cooking demonstration from Ben Higgs from Wild Oak Restaurant, kids craft and delicious food.
Live wildlife presentations available from Leap into Nature discussing frogs, Platypus Education Group, horticulture demonstrations from Outer East Permaculture Swap, and Yarra Valley Bee Group.
And there are market stalls, loads of fresh vegetables, vegetable seedlings, plants and community stalls.
This is an all-weather event, so Montrose is looking to see four seasons in one day.
Organisers highly recommend wearing gumboots and packing a rain coat.
