THE Emerald Golf Club hopes to increase its membership at the club by holding a free golf day this month.
Anyone who loves to golf, is invited to attend and play golf for free, provided that they play with current club members.
Those who are not ready to play a full 18 holes are able to participate in free golf clinics, provided by P.G.A Professional Bob Spencer.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded for both handicap and non-handicap events, and the day will end with a free barbecue from 1pm.
Club captain Rod Ward said there are many golfers who enjoy playing golf but don’t think they are good enough.
Mr Ward wants players to experience the friendly and relaxed nature of the club and hopes they will be more inclinded to join the club.
Mr Ward said that you don’t have to be Tiger Woods or Greg Norman to play golf, but due to the handicap nature of the game, players of all abilities can play and be competitive.
The Emerald Golf Club will be holding their Open Day on Saturday, 29 July.
Any inquiries or bookings can be made by calling the resort on 5968 4211, or Rod Ward on 5968 4391.
