Emerald’s ‘Tiger’ Rod Ward took out a hat trick of successive grade and club competitions with a nett 65 (handicap 13) to win the day’s competition at the Emerald Golf Club on Saturday.
Ward also tied for the October monthly medal with Mike Litchfield who took advantage of the greens conditions to have only 26 putts.
Ben Balfour won B grade with 67 (handicap 19) while Andrew Tudor took out C grade to also win with a nett 67 (handicap 25).
Nearest the pin winners were Dennis Fuller on the 4th, Leigh Morrison second shot to the 10th and Rod Ward the 12th and the 18th pro pin.
Mango Maquire won the September medal winning the play-off from Graeme Fergus.
