ARTS in the Dandenong Ranges will be highlighted at Burrinja Gallery’s open day on Saturday, 28 October from 3pm to 8pm.
The day will offer something for everyone from live music, performances, and children’s activities to indigenous culture.
Visitors can enjoy free guided tours of the stockroom at Burrinja where they will find a treasure trove of rare artefacts from Papua Guinea and fabulous Aboriginal art from around Australia.
Children will be kept entertained by Stax and will have the chance to paint their own didgeridoo.
The gallery is at 351 Glenfern Road, Upwey. Phone 9754 8723.
Visitors can also hear the sounds of local musicians who will be playing live throughout the event in Burrinja’s cafe and bar.
To finish off a great day people can visit the artists’ studios and talk to them about their work.
