A CENTRAL business website could make the Christmas rush less exhausting for Knox consumers and businesses.
Knox City Council is urging business owners to register with the Knox Business Direct website before the festive period builds to a frenzy.
Councillor Tony Kamitsis, chairman of the Knox economic development committee, said the website provides a range of information and links to other businesses and agencies such as the State Government’s Business Victoria site.
“Businesses can use the database to interact with one another, find suppliers and customers and inform the broader community about their products and services,” he said.
Consumers can also use the site to find out which goods and services are available from local businesses and at what price.
Cr Kamitsis hoped the resource could save people time and petrol by telling them exactly where to go to get what they needed.
“We all know times are tough at the moment – people can’t afford the high petrol prices and are tired of battling busy roads, so make sure you register your details on the website in time for the local Christmas rush,” he said.
