A BAVARIAN entertainment show, all you can eat seafood buffet and sweets galore were just some of the delights available at the Cuckoo Restaurant in Olinda last Friday night.
The Cuckoo Restaurant, located at 508 Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, Olinda, has been delighting diners’ taste buds for more than 47 years.
The restaurant is one of the longest standing eateries still operating in the Dandenong Ranges.
On Friday night the Cuckoo celebrated its annual seafood night with a feast of prawns, sushi, Morton Bay bugs, and a range of hot food including a seafood chowder.
Those who don’t eat seafood were also catered for with a range of hot food including steak, potatoes and other deliciously prepared vegetables and cured pork. Butter and ice sculptures also complemented the seafood buffet.
The Cuckoo also kicked off a Friday night wine tasting trial which will showcase a different winery for the next four weeks.
Following a meal to die for, diners were treated to an array of delicious sweets from mouth watering chocolate mousse to shortbread and profiteroles.
The Cuckoo Restaurant will provide more mouth watering treats next month when it holds its Italian night on Friday, 14 October.
