A GROUP of hills girls dominated the soccer pitch on the weekend winning the 2007 Total Girls Tournament.
The Sherbrooke Ranges Junior Soccer Club’s under 13A side won the preseason tournament in Ballarat on the weekend.
The girls won five games, lost one and drew another to take out the Under 13A title for the tournament.
Coach Wayne Condor said this was a fantastic result for the girls especially as it was their first time playing in the tournament.
Condor said the title win indicates that the girls will have a fantastic season.
He said all the girls put in 100 per cent and played a fantastic tournament.
“It was such a great tournament and all the girls enjoyed themselves,” he said.
“They were competitive on the field and had a lot of fun off the field.”
Condor said the girls only expected to win a couple of games in the tournament after being put up a grade after last season.
“This group of girls played Under 12B last season but finished undefeated and were put up to A grade,” he said.
“This title win is a good determining factor on how they might go this season because they played against three of the teams they will be up against during the 2007 season.”
