DINERS can enjoy contemporary Australian cuisine at the Arthouse Cafe in Emerald.
The cafe has been serving breakfast and lunch for the past three and half years and just four months ago decided to branch out to opening for dinner.
Diners can enjoy a meal and take a look at local artists work on the walls of the cafe.
The owner, Kate Wakefield prepares breakfast and lunches, while chef James “Frankie” Hildom offers creative and sumptuous evening meals with a touch of French and Italian influences.
The breakfast menu offers the ever popular Arthouse Big Breakfast, while for lunch there is an assortment of cafe style meals ranging from antipasto and salads to foccacias and steak sandwiches.
All the cakes and bread available at the cafe are made on the premises daily. Gluten and dairy free meals are also offered at the Arthouse Cafe.
Dinner is an a la carte affair with a wide range of delicious dishes including the chef’s roast scampi with lemon and saffron linguine to his famous lamb shanks in tomato and red wine served on a bed of parsnip mash.
The cafe is fully licensed but patrons can bring their own wine although there is an extensive selection of wines.
Functions and catering are also available from the cafe and a menu can be designed to suit any occasion.
During September the Arthouse Cafe is offering a complimentary glass of wine per person with every main meal purchased on a Tuesday or Wednesday night.
The cafe is located at 362 Main Street, Emerald, and is open for breakfast and lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.
