ENDANGERED species were put under the spotlight at Mt Dandenong Primary School last week.
Students built their own 3D models of endangered species including pandas, Tasmanian devils and sea lions.
Teacher Oliver Tockloth says the students have been learning about endangered species for the past couple of months.
He said the children’s interest was captured after they spent some time at Wilson’s Promontory.
“The students were asked to pick an animal, research it and make a 3D model of it,” he said.
The students displayed their models and all the information they had collected at a special seminar last week.
Each student was given a booth and parents, teachers and fellow students quizzed them about their animal.
