DELIVERING on the motto “The little dive centre that’s big on service” is one of the main reasons behind the success and longevity of Interdive in Upper Ferntree Gully.
“We are in the business of transforming people to an active lifestyle, developing emotional wellbeing and self esteem, providing and managing personal risk and adventure and facilitating dream fulfilment while focusing on an improved quality of life,” said Interdive owner Geoffrey Sparkes.
“At Interdive we have been introducing people to the aquatic realm for more than 20 years.
“Our passion is to open hearts and minds to the hidden beauty of nature’s creation.
“We teach the value of character and integrity in our obligation to the future of the environment,” said Geoff.
“Our joy is in the transformation of people’s lives for the better and forever.”
As well as providing scuba diver training, Interdive offers the Recreational Boat Operator course. This Marine Board approved program is run regularly over one evening in association with Marine Training Services.
“It satisfies VicRoads requirements for the issue of a licence without further testing,” said Geoff who is a PADI course director holding formal teaching qualifications.
As well as boat licence courses and diving, he teaches workplace approved first aid programs and a range of business programs within the TAFE system.
Interdive has won numerous awards for caring for the environment, conducting Clean Up Australia Day events and in 2003 was a finalist in the Knox Business Awards.
Interdive is at 1242 Burwood Highway, Upper Ferntree Gully, and is open 10am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 10am-7pm Friday, 9am-1pm Saturday and other times by appointment.
