MONBULK Police are calling for witnesses after money was stolen from the cash register of a business in Kallista.
A man wearing a forest green jacket was seen leaning over a cash register at the Biodynamic Market in Kallista before fleeing with $500 cash.
Senior Constable Glenn Barkway said on Wednesday, 25 July, the owner of the shop was in the back of the store when he heard the cash register opening.
He said the shop owner then witnessed a man in his 30s lean over the counter and grab money from the cash register.
Snr Const Barkway said the man was last seen getting into an aqua coloured hatch back and driving away from the scene.
He said anyone who may have seen or heard anything should contact Monbulk Police on 9756 6266.
