HILLS parents will have the chance to learn more about boys’ education next month when Joseph Driessen returns to Monbulk by popular demand.
The world-renowned leader in boys’ education will hold a seminar for parents and teachers.
Monbulk Primary School teacher Sue Graham said Mr Driessen held a similar seminar in May but it was sold out very quickly and he had decided to return for another session.
Ms Graham said that there was considerable evidence showing boys were more at risk of disengaging from school and that the seminar offered teachers and parents some great tips on how to make boys stay interested in school.
This special parent seminar will be held on Monday, 3 September, at the Monbulk College Theatre, David Hill Road, Monbulk, from 7pm to 9.30pm.
Parents will have the opportunity to learn how to motivate their sons, how to build positive relationships, what to do if their son is not performing well academically and ways to solve problems at school.
Ms Graham encourages as many parents as possible to attend the seminar.
The seminar costs $5 per person. Bookings are essential and can be made by calling Ms Graham on 9756 6776 or 0439 634 995.
