BAYSWATER Cycles has a bike for everyone from amateur riders to professional and elite athletes.
Both new and used bikes are available from Bayswater Cycles with a range of family bikes, mountain bikes, BMX, road, tri, track and touring bikes. Bayswater Cycles sells bicycles and accessories as well as offering service and repairs.
Owner Bruce Rademaker has been involved with the cycling circuit as a competitive cyclist since the 70’s.
He also said his first parttime job at the age of 14 was in a bike shop. Mr Rademaker said his 6000 square foot showroom offers an extensive range for the causal and recreational riders to the sports and fitness fanatics and professional level cyclists.
“We offer professional service and free advice in a friendly, family atmosphere,” he said. Mr Rademaker said all the Bayswater Cycles staff are passionate cyclists who compete in various events.
Bayswater Cycles also customises its bikes to suit the riders’ individual needs.
Mr Rademaker said cycling is a fast growing sport giving families an opportunity to get out and explore the great network of bike paths and rails. He said the increase of petrol costs to commuters has led people to ride their bikes to work.
“More and more elderly people are also getting back on their bikes and enjoying the exercise,” he said.
Bayswater Cycles is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm and during the summer months is open on Sunday from 10am to 3pm. The bike shop is at 687 Mountain Highway, Bayswater. For details call on 9720 9491.
