ARCHERS from across the country converged on Upwey recently for the Sherbrooke Silver Cup.
Seventy-two of the best upcoming archers battled it out for an array of trophies for target and field events.
The two-day event was held on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September with participants from Canberra, Diamond Valley, Waverly, Frankston, Morwell and Sherbrooke competing.
Participants competed in a number of events including the field exercise where the archers shoot at 24 targets, which are all different sizes and set at different distances.
Yarra Ranges mayor Tim Heenan even tried his hand at archery, firing the opening arrow.
Sherbrooke Archers held the annual event, which is also considered a premier field exercise on the Victorian Archery calendar.
