Burger breakthrough

By JESSE GRAHAM, FROM TECOMA MCDONALDS

THE first person through the door of Tecoma’s McDonald’s restaurant was Cheyenne Holtham, who ordered a Quarter Pounder with extra meat and cheese and a frappe.
The first person to be served was Jake Pancutt, who entered with Cheyenne and ordered the same burger.
The doors to Tecoma McDonald’s opened at 11am, with police officers helping to control the crowds that have massed in front of the store and along the Burwood Highway.
As of 11.06am, the restaurant was packed with eager patrons aiming to get a bite to eat, and protesters have continued their demonstrations outside of the store.
