Santa to ride in

HILLS children will be on their best behaviour next week when Santa Claus visits Monbulk for the town’s annual Christmas carols.
The night of carols hosted by the Monbulk Rotary Club will be a night not to be missed on Saturday 15 December.
Helping to spread the Christmas cheer, the Monbulk Primary School’s choir and recorder players will perform at the carols.
Students from the Mater Christi Band ‘Persephone’ will also keep people entertained.
A group of teachers from the Patch Primary School will lead the singing and perform a few items of their own.
This year will be the 21st year that the Rotary club has hosted the carols in Monbulk.
Rotary club member Robyn Keys said the carols had been made possible with the support of Shire Yarra Ranges councillor Graham Warren and local businesses.
Ms Keys said Tony Hunt from Fuse Systems would also supply the technical support for the sound system.
Hills children will have to be on their best behaviour as Santa Claus rides into town with a big bag of sweets for all youngsters.
One lucky family can also win a giant wheelbarrow filled with Christmas goodies such as a coffee machine and a gourmet hamper as the Rotary raffle is drawn.
For a great night of Christmas cheer, the carols, held at the Monbulk Community Centre, Main Street, at 7.30pm, is a night not to be missed.
