LOBSTER Cove, on Mountain Highway in Wantirna, is the original home of the ultimate seafood experience and a perfect dining out venue for any occasion.
With Christmas just around the corner, the time is right to discover or rediscover the impressive fresh fish and seafood platter menu, which makes Lobster Cove unique.
“Lobster Cove is the ideal place to celebrate the festive season,” restaurant owner Alex Krios said.
“The menu and the atmosphere at Lobster Cove will impress family and friends alike.”
The restaurant, which offers full seafood a la carte menu with a daily special board, was established over 20 years ago.
Mr Krios, who is known as the ‘King of Seafood’, took over Lobster Cove three years ago after running the successful La Pescatora Seafood Restaurant in East Malvern for 17 years.
“It offers a wonderful dining experience for seafood lovers and is the ideal way to indulge in fresh fish,” Mr Krios said.
“We offer an extensive menu at very reasonable prices and our chefs have expertise when it comes to preparing and cooking seafood dishes,” he said.
“We know how to treat the seafood and make sure it is cooked to perfection.”
Lobster Cove’s entree menu features a range of tantalising oyster dishes available in half or full dozen serves including oysters natural served with lemon and cocktail sauce, and the favourite oysters Kilpatrick with bacon and Worcestershire sauce.
Other entree highlights include the seafood Caesar salad, scallop Parisienne, Tasmanian smoked salmon and an Oriental beef salad.
The main course menu features an impressive array of Australian seafood including barramundi, a medley of local seafood made up of mussels, prawns, scallops and fish and a dish of garlic prawns. Diners can also choose from half or whole crayfish with a variety of sauces and salads.
The Lobster Cove menu also features a range of seafood platters.
The Platter a la Cove, for two people, includes a selection of hot and cold seafood including fish, prawns, calamari, oysters, mussels, Moreton Bay bugs and crayfish.
Another stand out dish is the Lobster Cove’s beef and reef which combines tenderloin of beef grilled with seared prawns and scallops, accompanied by bearnaise sauce, roasted potatoes and vegetables.
The restaurant also caters for the sweet tooth with a range of desserts available.
Lobster Cove, which has a fully licensed bar and allows BYO wine, is located at Shop 31, The Mall, Mountain Highway, Wantirna.
