KNOX City Council will install a series of solar panels on two of its buildings.
The $120,000 project will see the panels set up on the roof of Knox Leisureworks in Boronia and Wantirna South Civic Centre in the coming weeks.
The solar panel systems can each save up to 24 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year. The council will get rebates of $15,000 from the State Government and $26,500 from the Federal Government.
