A 2.8 MAGNITUDE earthquake shook parts of the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley last week.
While the epicentre of the quake was found to be Pakenham, many local residents reported feeling the ground shaking.
Via Facebook, Kaylie from Belgrave reported hearing the sound of the quake.
“I could hear it coming from over the mountain then the bang of the house and the rumble fade away in the distance,” she said.
Tamara also reported feeling it from Mount Evelyn, as did Margaret from Woori Yallock.
A summary of the earthquake by Geoscience Australia states that it occurred at 11.39pm on Tuesday, March 10.
