Brigade’s call to come along

THE Belgrave Fire Brigade is hosting its annual art show on the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend.
This is the 32nd year the Belgrave CFA has hosted the show that displays and sells work from artists from around the state.
The funds raised from this event will go towards the pending purchase of a new tanker for the brigade.
The show commences on Friday night with a champagne opening and continues throughout the weekend.
The show has gained an excellent reputation and attracts patrons from areas such as the Peninsula, Melbourne suburbs and, of course, the local community.
Kirstin Cross from the brigade hoped the community would support the event.
“It’s been well supported in the past and continues to get better,“ she said.
“This event is so important for the brigade and we encouraged everyone to get behind us.“
The art show is also supported by businesses in Belgrave and Tecoma which take out advertising in the show’s catalogue.
The art show will open on Friday 5 June from 7.30pm and run through Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm each day.
