30th celebrations to be all class

PREPARATIONS are in full swing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Emerald Secondary College. On Saturday 24 October, from 10am to 2pm, organisers are preparing a variety of musical performances, student displays, hourly tours of the school, a sausage sizzle, jumping castles and plenty more. Many past students are expected to support the event. Meanwhile, staff who have been involved over the past 30 years will attend a dinner on the Friday night. Pictured are singers who will perform at the celebration. From left are Pia, 17, Magenta, 16, and Hayley, 17. Picture: ROB CAREW 145628_03
