AN ELDERLY man and woman have been taken to the Alfred Hospital with moderate injuries after an out-of-control milk truck crashed into their car on Wellington Road this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Belgrave South about 8.20am Wednesday 20 January, after reports of a car and a truck being involved in a crash, where people required extraction from a vehicle.
The truck was travelling west on Wellington Road in Belgrave South when it lost control in wet weather.
The truck driver, a man in his 50’s lost control of the vehicle and collided with the oncoming sedan.
The truck driver was uninjured and the two occupants of the sedan received non-life-threatening injuries.
CFA crews from Belgrave South, Rowville, Dandenong, Narre Warren were in attendance and the incident was called under control about 8.45am.
Police are urging drivers to be cautious in the wet weather and drive to the conditions.
