POLICE are on the hunt for a man who exposed himself to two women on the Warburton Trail late last month.
The first incident occurred about 9.15am on Sunday 21 August when a woman walking on the Warburton Trail, near David Road in Lilydale, was approached by the man.
The man pulled down his tracksuit pants and exposed himself as he walked past the woman.
Detective Senior Constable Ross McDonald from Lilydale Crime Investigation Unit said the victim gave a detailed description of the offender.
“The victim described an unshaven Caucasian male of approximately 25 years of age with muscular athletic build, wearing a grey beanie and light grey tracksuit pants,” he said.
The second incident occurred about 8.15am on Sunday 28 August, also on the Warburton Trail, this time near the Mount Evelyn Skate Park.
The man exposed himself to a woman on a bicycle in the same manner as the previous incident, but this time from a distance of about two metres.
The victim described the offender as about 175cm tall with dark hair and a rough, unshaven appearance.
Police have released a digital composite of the man in the hope it leads to some one recognising him.
Det Sen Const McDonald said that while the victims were not a fault, everyone should be wary while in public places.
“All persons need to be vigilant when walking in public places and we urge people to be aware of their surrounds,” he said.
