A PEDESTRIAN was seriously injured in a three-car collision on Glenfern Road in Upwey last week.
The 50-year-old man was taken to The Alfred hospital with suspected internal injuries and an ankle injury, after he was dragged and pinned beneath a car near Morris Road.
He had stopped to help a 36-year-old woman free her bogged Volkswagen at about 7.15pm on Monday 22 September.
A second car crashed into the Volkswagen as he tried to push it out of a roadside ditch, shunting the Volkswagen down the road with the man underneath. A third car then hit the second car.
The 36-year-old woman was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with a fractured collarbone, injuries to her knee and pain in her arm and ribs.
