HILLS kids enjoyed an afternoon packed with fun last week.
A gala day was held to celebrate the end of the 2008 Australian Sports Commission After-School Communities (AASC) program which aims to promote healthy and active lives.
More than 150 students from primary schools across the region including Monbulk, The Patch, St Paul’s, Upwey, Woori Yallock and Yarra Junction took part.
Local groups such as the Yarra Valley Archers and Circus Folk also kept the kids entertained.
Youngsters took the chance to enjoy a game of soccer or tennis.
Some even tried their hand at bowls, basketball, martial arts, archery and softball. Rounding off this fun-filled afternoon was a game of catch with a frisbee, softball and circus training.
Year-end fun and frolic
