CARDINIA Shire Council is now preparing a project wish list for the Federal Government’s infrastructure program.
Under the scheme, announced last month, the council was marked to receive an estimated $1.2 million.
Mayor Bill Pearson said the council would now assess projects that would provide maximum value for the shire such as creating new jobs.
“We will be identifying projects with broad community benefit, many of which have already been flagged as needing government support,” he said.
Councillors will prepare a wish list for the infrastructure program in the next few weeks as submissions close on Friday 23 January.
