Play will hit the spot

AUSTRALIAN musical The Tank will hit Knox Community Arts Centre this Thursday (5 March) in aid of bushfire victims.
Organisers will donate $10 to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal from each ticket sold.
“We’ve all been touched by the images and stories of fire-affected communities,” Arts Centre coordinator Richard Mitchell said.
“Everyone can come along and enjoy a great show, knowing they’re doing their bit.”
The Tank examines the rebuilding process in bushfire-ravaged 1970s Northern Tasmania.
“It’s a uniquely Australian show that celebrates family and spirit of place and comes to Knox at a particularly poignant time,” Mr Mitchell said.
The show will feature music from Australian band Weddings Parties Anything’s Mick Thomas and Squeeze Box Wally.
Knox Community Arts Centre is located at the corner of Mountain Highway and Scoresby Road in Bayswater.
Tickets are $27.50 for adults, $21.50 concession and $14.50 for students. Group prices are also available.
The performance kicks off at 8pm.
