Business owner Janine Meakes said that only the best materials and fittings available were used in the manufacture of rugs at Equus.
“We have strict quality control guidelines for rugs and cater for all seasons,” she said.
Equus started at Janine’s home in Emerald more than 10 years ago.
“I made rugs for friends and they were astounded by the quality, fit and price,” she said.
“Many friends insisted on ordering more rugs so I set up business.”
“We now stock brands such Capriole, SSG Gloves and Cant-a and provide saddle blankets, exercise boots, quarter sheets, and rider accessories such as whips, gloves and dressage socks.”
Veterinary supplies are also stocked. Janine also offers rug repairs including washing and re-proofing.
Equus Rugs is proud to sponsor many local talented combinations including Sarah Schroder and Take Note, Louise Hocken and Cause a Commotion, and Julia Battams of Balmoral Equestrian Centre and her four imported stallions — BWS Carabino, BWS Westewind, BWS What’s up and Camelot’s Clint Eastwood.
