GREEN thumbs and amateur gardeners will all find inspiration at this year’s Ferny Creek Horticultural Society Plant Collectors Sale and Garden Expo.
The fourth annual event will be held on 20 and 21 February at the spectacular Ferny Creek Ornamental Garden Reserve in Sassafras.
Ferny Creek Horticultural Society publicity officer Rex Shields said specialist nurseries would sell a wide variety of plants across 20 stalls.
Garden accessories and machinery, garden art and ornaments and water saving products will also be on offer.
Demonstrations and displays will include botanical artists at work, woodworking, gem stones, fossils and free guided walks through the four-hectare gardens.
A sausage sizzle and other refreshments will be available.
“Or bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens,” Mr Shields said.
Radio Eastern 98.1FM will broadcast live from the event.
Ferny Creek Ornamental Garden Reserve is open to the public during FCHS shows and other times by appointment.
It is also available for weddings and other functions.
The FCHS Annual Plant Collectors Sale and Garden Expo will be open from 10am to 4pm on 20 and 21 February.
Entry is free for children under 14, and $6 for people aged 14 and over.
Ferny Creek Ornamental Garden Reserve is at 100 Hilton Road, Sassafras.
