Women will inspire

YARRA Ranges Council and Swinburne University will celebrate the role of women in the community and workplace.
The celebration will take place at an event titled ‘Be Inspired’ on 17 November from 5.30pm.
Guest speaker Naomi Simson, the chief executive of online gift certificate retailer RedBalloon, will join Yarra Ranges councillor Samantha Dunn, Morrisons Community House chief executive Jan Simmons and community leader Julie McDonald.
Yarra Ranges director of corporate services Rebecca McKenzie said the event promised to be insightful and inspiring for those who attend.
“Be Inspired will be exactly what its name suggests – an evening of inspirational women who will share their experiences as leaders in both business and the community,” she said.
“Our panellists are community leaders in the Yarra Ranges and will provide their motivation and inspiration as they discuss their thoughts and experiences.”
The event will be held in the LC building at Lilydale’s Swinburne University campus on Melba Avenue – and it’s open to everybody.
Cost is $10 per head. Bookings are essential and can be made by calling Roxann Jenkins on 9294 6370 or emailing r.jenkins@yarraranges.vic.gov.au.
