THE Gully Market is one of the longest-running markets in Victoria, having been established for more than 37 years.
It does not claim to be the biggest but, for value and friendly service, it is up there with the best of them.
It is an outdoor market open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 4.30pm. It also has wheelchair access.
The market offers a wide range of goods from craft, wood, pottery, garden ornaments, plants and ferns, to tools, cakes, fruit and vegetables, jams and preserves, and a hairdresser available.
“Come and see for yourself what else we have and enjoy a snack from one of our food stalls,” market organiser Keith McConchie said.
The market is held in the car park of the Upper Ferntree Gully Railway Station, next to the Tourist Information Centre on Burwood Highway.
It is an easy drive east of Melbourne, approaching the popular Dandenong Ranges.
There is plenty of free parking next to the market.
Some vacancies exist for selected stall-holders, so if you are interested ring Keith on 0417 599 466.
