Hit-run driver sought

POLICE are looking for a driver of a ute that failed to stop after hitting a car on the Monash last week.
At 5.40pm on 7 February, the Berwick woman driver of a 2009 Ford Festiva hatch was on the Monash Freeway, approaching the Blackburn Road exit.
The driver merged from the left-hand lane to the second lane to make way for a merging ute.
Police said the ute sideswiped the car, causing severe damage, and didn’t stop at the scene.
The ute was described as being off-white in colour with a silver tray.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Senior Constable Lyon at the Narre Warren Police Station on 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
