MONBULK Primary School proudly took part in the Anzac Day march last week with more than 100 students participating.
Principal Ray Yates said the students marched with pride and dedication to honour soldiers, sailors and airmen and women who have lost their lives to war.
From preps to grade six and dressed in school uniform, many of the students displayed medals awarded to their great grandfathers and other relations.
Mr Yates said with the school captains carrying Monbulk Primary School’s banner, walked with veterans, the guides and the brownies and a 60-piece marching band.
He said their march of peace and reverence was led by Mr De Coite who was among several teachers at the march.
“This was a proud day for Monbulk and a proud day for the school and we hope that this will become a tradition that resounds throughout the hills,” he said.
