A public ‘know your food, know your grower’ forum will be held at Selby Community House at 7pm on Wednesday November 9.
Farmer Ryan DeCoite will talk about Community Supported Agriculture and his work at his Belgrave South Farm before a Q and A session.
Forum organiser Karl Williams said many people are becoming aware of the importance of having a connection between them and the source of their food.
Community Supported Agriculture aims to establish that bond by having a local organic farmer dealing directly with the local community,” he said.
“With Ryan’s scheme, he takes online orders each week and arranges pickup of what was only picked a few hours earlier.”
There is no need to book and everyone is welcome to join.
