Monbulk Junior Football Club
THE Hawks enjoyed their final games at home in firm dry conditions as results were very important to several teams in this round in shaping the ladders for the final time.
Monbulk will have two teams playing in finals next weekend – the Under 12s versus Seville and the Under 16s versus Seville – both games to be played at Wesburn.
Caleb Lobbe played his 50th game, and three Under 16 boys – Dane Brown, Jake Ryan and Mark Boyle all celebrated their 100th games with the Hawks.
Under 16
Monbulk 13.17.95 d South Belgrave 8.6.54.
WAYWARD kicking for goal kept South in this match right up to the final quarter. In what proved to be a very even contest, the Hawks finally found the big sticks in the last and a couple of early telling goals set them up for a good win.

WITH the team hit by injury and illness it was difficult to get all the players firing. Monbulk’s endeavour dropped away in the third quarter and this allowed the opposition to kick easy goals.

A BIG game for the Hawks – the lead-up was great during the week with the boys training hard. Monbulk started very well with great teamwork. The players put in 100 per cent and secured themselves a spot in the finals.

THE boys were asked for a special effort in their last game this season – and this is what they delivered. All 29 players played to their full potential, resulting in a hard fought game.
