Banking on grants

UPWEY Community Bank is inviting hills community groups to apply for funding as part of its latest round of community grants which since 2001 has provided more than $345,000.
Grant applications are available from all branches or online at www.bendigobank.com.au/foundation.
Applications close on Tuesday, 5 June.
Chairman Peter Marke says the program has provided more than $345,000 to local communities since 2001, with this year’s round set to add substantially to that figure.
“More and more customers are coming on board every day, especially at our Belgrave and Cockatoo/Gembrook branches,” he said.
“We want to reward that extraordinary community commitment by returning some of our profits to help support our local communities.”
