GEMBROOK suffered another last quarter fade out on the weekend where the Wandin “Bulldogs” were able to run over the top of the Brookers and snatch an 18-point win in the dying minutes of the game. With scores tied with only three minutes remaining it was the Doggies who prevailed with cool heads.
Glenn Penglase took best on ground honours for the second week in a row, while Travis Bartin, Max Croaker, Andrew Shipp and Steve Hedger all played well.

THE Brookers travelled to Wandin with nearly a full squad ready for a tough game with fifth playing sixth on the ladder. At stake was a finals berth which spurred the Brookers on and resulted in a hard-fought win.

IN sunny but sticky conditions last Saturday the game that was switched at the start of the year was now to be played at the small Wandin ground.
“This game was a prelude to the small Upwey ground and clearly the main game next week in the under 18 competition. The boys are looking forward to next week and have done everything right this season and deserve their chance to play finals,” coach Geoff Shipp said.
