Pole delays motorists

A FALLEN power pole caused significant delays for motorists on Monbulk Road last Friday, as Belgrave Police secured the area for two hours.
Senior Sergeant Doug Berglund said the pole had been brought down by a fallen tree limb.
The untimely obstruction caused the diversion of traffic attempting to access checkpoints for the Oxfam Trailwalker event, with support teams being re-routed through The Patch.
