Police swoop leads to firearm charges

A-25-YEAR-OLD Emerald man has been charged with a number of firearms and burglary offences and bailed to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
Police last week seized 29 long firearms and other stolen goods from an Emerald residence on Thursday morning.
The man has been charged over a number of burglaries in Sassafras, Monbulk, Ferny Creek, Mt Dandenong and The Patch over the past six months.
He has also been charged with a number of traffic offences and for possessing the proceeds of crime.
The man will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 20 September.
