THERE are a lot of myths in the bedding industry according to Raithe Handiman of Blessed Earth Organic Cotton Essentials in Selby.
“These myths include ‘Aussie woollen’ quilts and pillows that are fluffed up with polyester and made in China, and household name brands of bed linen that are also now made in China, made conveniently wrinkle-free with formaldehyde,” he said.
“If it’s cheap, it’s probably also nasty. You only get what you pay for.
“I’ve spoken before about the Blessed Earth chemical-free range organic cotton mattresses and quilts,” said Raithe.
As of this month, there is also a new range of Australian organic cotton bed linen.
“Organically mercerised for strength, softness and easy care, this new product has an exquisite feel and will last for years.”
Blessed Earth is offering 10 per cent off all bedding during September.
“As it happens, bedding is the ‘product of the month’ for September,” said Raithe.
“So it’s the perfect time to pick up your mattress, quilt, pillow or bed linen at a special price.”
Blessed Earth at Main Road, Selby, operates a bedding hotline on 1300 135 589.
