THE Upper Gully Market at the gateway to the Dandenongs, although not the biggest market around, has to be one of the longest running and friendliest markets in Melbourne.
Market visitors are often surprised when they see the variety of goods for sale from fruit and vegetables, plants and soft toys to handmade soaps, leatherwork, jewellery and much more.
The market operates on a non profit basis and any spare funds, after expenses have been taken care of, go to local charities.
The Upper Gully Market operates every Saturday and Sunday from 7am until 4pm and is situated in the public car park opposite the Royal Hotel on Burwood Highway, Upper Ferntree Gully.
