A ROGUE burnoff last Thursday threatened to destroy a shed and caravan in Menzies Creek.
However, Clematis and Selby fire brigades managed to contain the blaze to a rubbish heap.
Clematis CFA first lieutenant Graeme Taylor said a passerby spotted the fire and notified the brigade just before 1pm.
Officer Taylor said luck in the very windy conditions prevented the fire destroying the shed and the caravan.
He said the blaze damaged only a heap of corrugated iron.
