Knox pupils begin tertiary studies

STUDENTS at The Knox School will be scattered all over Melbourne this year as the Year 12 class of 2006 begin their tertiary studies.
Ninety-two per cent of students who applied for tertiary placements received a first round offer. The largest group, 24 per cent of students, will be studying at Deakin University, while Monash University (16%), The University of Melbourne (13%) and RMIT (13%) will absorb nearly half the Year 12 class.
Last year’s school captains Andrew Woodward and Michal Lim both received ENTER scores in the high 90s and will be studying at The University of Melbourne and Monash University respectively.
Woodward will undertake a Bachelor of Science and Lim will embark upon Pharmacy.
The Knox School’s highest achieving student, Geoffrey Gerbert, who received an ENTER score of 99.55 will study Arts/Science at The University of Melbourne.
The trend in tertiary placements sought by students from The Knox School was in the areas of Business and Commerce, and Science.
