Young Tigers remain unbeaten in cricket

UPWEY-TECOMA’S U13/1 XI cricekt team maintained its unblemished record with a solid 21-run victory over Lysterfield last Saturday.
Completing their fourth victory of the season, Brandon Clarke (3/20) and Matt Chambers (2/27) led a great team effort to bowl out the visitors in the 47th over, unsuccessfully chasing the Tigers’ total of 187 for victory.
Defending a total of 140, the U13/2 side were desperately unlucky not to record their first win of the season, as they managed to hold out Mulgrave until the very last over of the game before the total was passed.
The U17/1 team suffered their first loss of the season losing to The Basin, who comfortably surpassed the Tigers’ total of 154.
Jayden Brown (57 n.o.) received good support from Jake Evans (24) and Stan Mills (24) but the U15/1 team fell 47 runs short of Bayswater’s 197.
James Heron (40) led a spirited fight against Eildon Park in the U15/2A’s score with Jacob Monk (19) and Daniel Watson (17) both making good contributions to a total of 129.
Mitch Fraser (1/4 from four overs) and Jon Simpson (1/6 from two overs) performed best in a tough morning for the U15/2B match against Eildon Park.
