ST THOMAS Moore Primary School showed off its ball skills last week after winning the Premiership at the Victorian Primary School Sports Association Basketball state finals.
The team of aspiring basketballers from grades four, five and six played against teams from across the state.
School principal Marg Geason said the girls played in a calm, focussed and very professional manner.
Ms Geason said the teamwork that the team showed was excellent.
She also said the coach Danni Fidge did an excellent job, encouraging the girls gently.
Playing three games to get to the final, the team played hard at the ball and managed to win most of the games by a comfortable 20 point margin.
Winning the final by 12-points the St Thomas Moore team were crowned state champions.
