UPWEY-Tecoma’s U15/2A XI claimed their first points of the season with an impressive 36-run victory over Knoxfield on Saturday.
Callum Craig (37) and the consistent James Heron (22) were the mainstays of the innings as the pair comfortably chased down the 112 required for victory.
Alex Kelly (39) and Uriah Gray (18) put up a great fight for U15/2B XI against Ferntree Gully but the team fell short of the 184 victory target.
Stan Mills (60) fought a lone battle for the U15/1 XI as no other batsman reached double figures in a disappointing loss to Eildon Park.
Harry Ymer (3/9), Matt Chambers (2/0) and Jarrod Whiteman (2/5) led an impressive U13/1 bowling attack as they easily defended their total of 232.
In dismissing Rowville for 98, the team remains unbeaten after five rounds this season.
The U13/2 side’s total of 99 proved short of the mark against Eildon Park with Jackson Waters (3/16) and Jason Angulo (1/8) the standouts for the Tigers.
A total of 117 also proved insufficient for the U17/1 team as Mulgrave weathered Ben Wood (3/30) on The Dome.
The U17/2 combination played a hastily arranged one-dayer against Knoxfield and both teams walked away with 3 points as the scores were tied on 156 apiece.
