BUDDING writers should get their pens ready as applications are open for Eastern Regional Libraries’ National Storywriting Competition.
Prizes include $1500 for the adult section, $350 for the teenage section, $250 for the junior section and a $500 local award for a Knox, Maroondah or Shire of Yarra Ranges entrant.
The competition will close on Friday 22 August and entry forms are available at any branch of Eastern Regional Libraries. Writers can also download the form from the ERL website at www.erl.vic. gov.au. Contact 9800 6405 for further information.
