TEN hills childcare services have shared in a state-wide $10.7 million equipment grant program.
The kindergartens and community house childcare service will receive cash for minor capital works such as renovating and improving amenities and for buying equipment and toys.
Monbulk MP James Merlino said that the cash boost of up to $5000 each would go towards upgrading multi-purpose rooms, outdoor areas and equipment.
The childcare services sharing in this funding include Coonara Community House, Kallista Kindergarten, Monbulk Neighbourhood Playgroup and Mount Dandenong Pre School.
Mr Merlino said this investment into early childhood services would have enormous benefits for children and their families.
