THE TAMBO River Tourist Park, at Swan Reach is a great spot to spend a holiday. The Park is conveniently located on the Princes Highway, 20 kilometres east of Bairnsdale, and 13 kilometres west of Lakes Entrance, with convenient access to all that the Gippsland rivers, lakes, mountains and forests have to offer.
Fishermen are not the only people who can enjoy the area. There are many beautiful drives, golf courses, footpaths, bike tracks, waterways and beaches to be explored. The area has good shopping and fine food and wine to try.
The park offers a range of comfortable and affordable accommodation. The selfcontained units are popular with families and couples. Powered sites are available for those who like to enjoy the freedom of their own caravans or tents. Facilities include a recreation room, a wellstocked library, a playground for the younger children, and a solar heated swimming pool to be enjoyed in the warmer months of the year. Free barbeques are all undercover, and a great place for a club or family to get together.
There is room for boat parking, a fish cleaning area, and a fish freezer.
Rates are affordable, and as well as families, many fishing and social clubs are welcomed during the year. The park is conveniently located next to the hotel, and opposite the well stocked general store.
Greg, Aileen, their family, and their family of border collies accept visiting dogs at their discretion.
